Robotic Spray-Lining Tools

RestoLine Waterblasting Centralizer

Tooling Capabilities:

RestoLine’s patent pending robotic lining centralizers are deployed remotely through pipe diameters ranging from 100 mm to tunnel ⌀'s. Our multi-axis spray configuration delivers a circumferentially consistent liner thickness ranging from 20 to >500 mils in one pass. The robotic delivery method combined with the performance properties of PipeGuard™ lining systems allow us to line any composition pipeline with complex geometries. The RestoLine (SIPP) Spray-Lining system and tooling achieves the longest lining length in the trenchless industry combined with the smallest overall job site footprint.

  • Easily adapts to ⌀ reductions and inconsistencies
  • Tooling allows for small access and no excavations
  • Lining distance from entry point: 600 m
  • Navigates vertical sections & tight 90° ells

  • (SIPP) Spray-Lining Installation

PipeGuard™ lining is robotically applied to an engineered thickness based on diameter, loading, and operating pressure. Our lining materials protect from wall loss and degradation of hydraulic performance in new and existing pressurized piping systems. Despite any inconsistencies or perforations in the pipe wall, the application result is a seamless, stand alone lining with an extended design life.

    Procedural Overview:

    1. Assessment:
  • CCTV, ultrasonic or laser profile to assess pipeline condition
  • Liner design calculation to determine required lining thickness
  • 2. Pre-Line Preparation:
  • Water blast necessary surface profile: SSPC-SP 6-13 / NACE 3-6
  • Control environmental conditions in substrate (material dependent)
  • 3. Lining Process:
  • Apply a seamless lining throughout the substrate
  • Lining distribution adjustable to areas with higher wall loss
  • 4. QA / QC – Real time:
  • Application and process monitor: system diagnosis, surface profile, environmental conditions, and lining thickness
  • Independent testing on lining samples per section
  • 5. Return to service:
  • End Seal is installed at flow facing terminations to prevent disbondment
  • Reinstate to full operating pressure in less than one day

  • Safeguard Critical Assets:

RestoLine's Lining System programmatically monitors application and lining equipment diagnostics. If the monitored data varies from the predetermined values, the spray-line tooling will automatically de-actuate. These recorded values safeguard the lining installation and can be remotely viewed by the client.
